Important clarification on financial status
betweenus is purely a digital record-keeping software tool. We are not a bank, credit union, depository institution, money services business, money transmitter, lender, debt collection agency, or escrow provider. We do not take deposits, hold client funds, disburse loans, transfer monies between counterparties, or guarantee repayment of any obligation recorded on the platform.
Nothing contained on the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, credit, or tax advice. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their private agreements comply with applicable statutory lending laws, interest rate ceilings (usury laws), disclosure requirements, and tax reporting obligations in their relevant jurisdiction.
Calculation accuracy & user verification
While our interest calculation engine is built to execute consistent chronological math using day-count and monthly compounding formulas, all balances, accrued interest amounts, and repayment totals are provided solely for convenience and informational purposes.
You and your counterparty are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all entries, transactions, interest rates, compounding dates, and settlement figures. betweenus disclaims all liability for arithmetic differences, interpretation variances, or discrepancies between our software calculations and external banking or accounting systems.
Counterparty agreements & independent disputes
Any underlying financial agreement, loan, split expense, or repayment commitment recorded in the Service exists solely and exclusively between you and your counterparty.
- betweenus is not a party to any agreement, contract, or debt established between users.
- We do not endorse, guarantee, or verify the solvency, creditworthiness, identity, or good faith of any counterparty you invite or connect with.
- In the event of a dispute, default, non-payment, or disagreement between you and a counterparty, you agree that betweenus has no obligation to arbitrate, mediate, assist, or participate in such dispute, and you release betweenus from all claims, demands, and damages arising out of or in connection with counterparty disputes.
